Daily Website Counter is a Chrome extension that counts how many unique websites you visit each day and how many times you visit each one.

What data is collected

The extension collects web history: specifically, the hostname (e.g. example.com) of pages you navigate to, the number of times you visit each one, and the date of the visit. This is the minimum data needed for the extension's core function — showing you a daily and 7-day breakdown of your browsing.

The extension does NOT collect:

• Personally identifiable information (name, email, etc.)
• Full page URLs, page content, page titles, or page text
• Passwords or authentication data
• Location data
• Financial or health information
• Keystrokes, mouse activity, or clicks
• Any data from private/incognito browsing (the extension does not run in incognito unless you explicitly enable it)

How data is stored

All data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local API. Nothing is transmitted to any external server, and the developer has no access to this data. Data is automatically deleted after 90 days on a rolling basis.

How data is used

Data is used solely to display your visit counts and history within the extension's popup. It is never sold, shared, transferred to third parties, or used for advertising, analytics, credit/lending decisions, or any purpose other than the extension's stated function.

Data removal

You can clear all stored data at any time by removing the extension from Chrome (chrome://extensions), which deletes its local storage entirely.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the update will be posted at this same URL with a revised "Last updated" date.
